About CalcNest
CalcNest started with a simple observation: most online calculators bury a ten-second answer under advertisements, cookie walls, and sign-up prompts. We wanted the opposite — a fast page that gives you the number, shows the formula behind it, and respects your privacy.
What we build
Every tool on this site follows the same standard. The calculation runs entirely in your browser — your numbers are never sent to a server. The formula is printed on the page, with a worked example, so you can verify the result by hand or learn the method for an exam. And the page includes the reference material you'd otherwise open three more tabs to find: conversion charts, category tables, and honest answers to common questions.
Accuracy
We use the standard published formulas: amortization math for loans, the Mifflin-St Jeor equation for calories, the U.S. Navy method for body fat, exact definition-based factors for unit conversions (an inch is exactly 2.54 cm). Where a formula is an estimate — as all health formulas are — the page says so and explains the margin of error. If you find an error anywhere on this site, please tell us; we treat correctness reports as the highest priority.
Free, and staying that way
All tools are free with no account, no paywall, and no feature gates. The site may show unobtrusive advertising to cover hosting costs — never pop-ups, and never ads that pretend to be the calculate button.
